Surely if you have found yourself traveling on I-15 in Utah County in the past few weeks you may have been frustrated with the traffic. We thought we would help by providing information on the large closures and projects to come. Hopefully this will help you plan your communte and avoid a lot of frustration.
Northbound I-15 lane restrictions for concrete paving: Northbound I-15 is reduced to three lanes from Lindon 200 South to American Fork 500 East for concrete paving operations. These lane restrictions will be in effect 24 hours a day for up to three weeks. Motorists should anticipate moderate to heavy delays during commute times.
April 30 to May 2: University Parkway Northbound Off-Ramp Closed
May 4-6: Provo South Draper Lane Access Closed
Through Spring 2011: 2000 West North of S.R. 75 Closed for Culvert Work, Construction to extend the East Bay South culvert on this Frontage Road is complete. Work to realign the Frontage Road to the west will begin in early January. Work is near the Mill Race Boat Launch, and access to the launch may be impeded as construction progresses. The Frontage Road is expected to be completely closed to traffic through early spring 2011.
Through June: Springville 1950 West Closed for Utility Work Through June, the Springville 1950 West Frontage Road, just north of 1600 South, is closed while crews extend a drainage culvert (Dry Creek) that crosses underneath 1950 West. Area businesses are open and accessible via an alternate route. Large trucks should utilize the new alternate truck route. Crews have set the pre-cast boxes and poured the concrete floor for the cast-in-place section of the box. They will begin pouring the box walls this week.
The completion of these construction projects will bring a great improvement to your commute throughout Utah County. We live in this area and have seen what a great change and improvement this new construction has been and will be to the growth of our community. Pioneer Crossing is a great example of this. The time it takes to get from I-15 to Lehi and Saratoga Springs has been dramatically reduced. During rush hour it used to take 20-30 minutes to get from I-15 to Saratoga Springs now it takes as little as 5 minutes.

What is an energy efficient home?
Generally, a green home isn’t just one that is built with sustainable materials, but it is also energy efficient.
